Air Spring Dump

This 5'X6'6" trailer has a 2,000 lb. axle, a 2,400 lb. air spring and has been tested with a 2000 lb.
load.

The black trai
ler is 5'X8', has a 3,500 lb. axle, a 10,400 lb. air spring and was tested with a 5,000 lb. load. The mechanism for this unit is approximately one-third the cost of a comparable hydraulic lift.

This dump mechanism has also been used on a SuperDuty truck. For vehicles with air brakes the cost is even less because an air compressor isn’t necessary.

The advantage of using the air spring design is that it is simple, because it has fewer parts, easy to use, and is about one-third the cost of a comparable hydraulic system.

New projects are in the works as well.
